Advanced Reading Comprehension Course 

Students will learn to tackle reading comprehension questions by studying the five main skills categories of reading comprehension: (1) Identify and Cite Textual Evidence; (2) Analyze Development of Central Ideas; (3) Interpret Figurative Language; (4) Evaluate Text Structure; (5) Make Connections Across Texts. Students will apply their understanding to various literary texts that suit their reading level. 

1. Students will develop the ability to effectively identify and interpret key ideas, details, and organizational structures within a variety of texts.
2. Students will analyze and associate meaning in texts, make connections across themes, and critically evaluate content to enhance comprehension.
3. Students will apply the five main reading comprehension skills to interpret and engage with diverse literary texts across genres and contexts.
4. Students will improve critical and analytical thinking skills.

(Dates and time can be moderated upon unanimous agreement from students in the same class. Nonetheless, the teacher has the final decision of the class schedule.)
